Spate of burglaries in Fareham

POLICE are appealing for information following six burglaries and an attempted home raid in Fareham recently.

The incidents happened between November 11 and 23 in Fareham, Stubbington and Hill Head.

Items stolen included jewellery, cash, bank cards, laptop and other high value items.

Entry was gained by either forcing windows and doors, or entering windows or doors that had been left insecure.

The incidents included:

• An attempted burglary in Hill Head Road, Hill Head, which took place between 8.20pm and 8.40pm on Tuesday November 13. Nothing was stolen

• A burglary in Hill Head Road, Hill Head, which took place between 9am on Sunday November 11 and 8.15am on Wednesday November 14. Jewellery, laptops and cash were stolen

• A burglary in Gaylyn Way, Fareham, which took place between 1pm and 5pm on Friday November 16. A watch was stolen

• A burglary in Gaylyn Way, Fareham, which took place between 4.20pm and 5pm on Friday November 16. A wallet containing cash was stolen

• A burglary in Ranvilles Lane, Stubbington, which took place between 5.15pm and 5.30pm on Monday November 19. Jewellery was stolen

• A burglary in Hill Head Road, Hill Head, which took place between 6pm and 6.30pm on Wednesday November 21. Jewellery was stolen

• A burglary in The Oakes, Stubbington, which took place between 7.15am and 9.30pm on Friday November 23. Cash and jewellery were stolen.

Police staff investigator Alice Head said: ‘These incidents took place while the occupants were out of their homes. In some cases, items of sentimental value were stolen. We are keen to hear from anyone who has any information about these burglaries.’
