Staff injured as masked men steal cash after storming into Slug and Lettuce in Winchester

A GANG of men left pub staff injured during a robbery in Winchester.

Three men wearing dark clothing and face masks forced entry into the rear of the Slug and Lettuce in the Square at around 11.48pm last night.

The robbers maid their way into the staff office before stealing a quantity of cash.

Staff members reported minor injuries.

A spokeswoman for Hampshire Constabulary said: ‘Officers have conducted a number of enquiries and are now turning to the public for any information that may assist the investigation.

‘Were you in the area at the time? Perhaps you saw three men acting suspiciously nearby?’
