Store opens after thieves steal cash machine in ram raid

Retailers have re-opened Co-op in Denmead after thieves ripped a cash machine from the building.

Thieves struck at 1.30am on Wednesday. The store re-opened yesterday.

A digger was dumped at the scene, with debris from the cash machine and building on the ground.

Now a white fascia has been installed where the cash machine had been.

Hampshire police said the thieves got away with the machine and cash box.

It is the latest in a string of raids on Co-op shops, with no arrests made.
