A FOOTBALLER has pleaded not guilty to breaking another player’s jaw.

Ashley Pulley-blank, of Glenelg Close, Bognor, is accused of punching Gregory Hasluck after a Sunday league match in Southbourne, in January.

Mr Hasluck, from Havant, required emergency surgery to his jaw at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Cosham. He also lost a tooth.

Pulley-blank, 21, denied grievous bodily harm when he appeared at Chichester Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

The case has been adjourned until May 30 when a progress hearing will take place to decide the trial date.
