POLICE are encouraging young people to respect their local parks.

Officers from Sussex police will be at Priory Park, in Chichester, on Thursday, July 11 from 4pm to 6pm to give out information on alcohol use, domestic violence and bike marking.

Councillor Eileen Lintill, who is in charge of community safety in Chichester, said: ‘We are not trying to spoil people’s fun but we hope that young people will think about their behaviour and how it impacts on other park users.’
