LAGER thief Samuel Armstrong has been told to pay compensation.

Armstrong pleaded guilty to stealing two cases of lager from Tesco in Forton Road, Gosport.

The 18-year-old also admitted stealing a case of lager worth £18 from the Co-op in Forton Road, Gosport on a separate occasion.

Armstrong was told to pay £9 to Co-op and £16 to Tesco by Fareham magistrates.

He was fined £100.

Armstrong was also told to pay £50 in court costs and £15 into a fund for victims of crime.
