A TEENAGER suffered a fractured jaw after being set upon in a late-night attack.

The 19-year-old victim and his friends were approached by a gang of about 15 men in Portsmouth city centre – one of whom had earlier assaulted him at a nearby nightclub.

A scuffle broke out which was broken up by bouncers.

The victim was approached again outside Portsmouth and Southsea train station by one of the men who hit him, fracturing his jaw at 3.50am on Saturday.

Detective Constable Jacqueline Foley said: ‘There were a number of taxis and people in the area at the time of the incident and I would like to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed this assault or the earlier incidents to contact the police. You may be able to help us to identify the people involved.

One suspect is a 6ft white man, stockily built with dark hair and in his early 20s.

He wore a white T-shirt. Another is a white man, 5ft 7in tall and aged about 20 with long, black, wavy hair. He wore a red, black and white long-sleeved checked shirt.

The third is a white man, aged 18 to 19 and about 5ft 6in with short, blond hair.

He wore a black T-shirt with a collar.
