A TEENAGE drink-driver who was more than twice the legal limit has been fined and banned from the roads.

Ryan Jones was stopped by the police in Hope Street, Landport, Portsmouth.

A breathalyser test showed he had 72 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath.

The legal limit is 35mg.

Jones, of Morris Close, Gosport, pleaded guilty to drink-driving when he appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.

He was fined £130 and told to pay £100 in costs.

The magistrates also banned the 19-year-old from driving for 16 months.
