A TEENAGER has been identified, following an appeal for information after an incident on a train.

A 17-year-old boy has been interviewed by British Transport Police officers and reported for the offence.

It follows the appeal relating to the sexual assault of a woman on a train at Portchester station on Wednesday, October 1.

DC Phil James, leading the investigation, said: ‘I’d like to thank the public for coming forward with information.

‘It proved invaluable in furthering this investigation.’
