TWO teenagers have been arrested for six robberies.
The pair, an 18-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy, were held by police after a 22-year-old man was approached by men on a path between Edgbaston House and Winston Churchill Avenue, Portsmouth.
He fended them off after being assaulted at 2am on Saturday. It came two days after an 18-year-old man was assaulted and had his iPhone, wallet and cash stolen in Chichester Road, North End, at 2am.
A 20-year-old student was also approached by three men and forced to hand over his mobile phone and wallet in Warwick Crescent, Southsea, about half an hour earlier.
The teenagers were also quizzed over robberies on the path between Edgbaston House and Winston Churchill Avenue at 1am on March 20 and midnight on January 18, and in Winston Churchill Avenue at 2am on February 26. The 18-year-old was also questioned over a robbery in Winston Churchill Avenue at on March 23. They were later bailed. Call Det Con Verity Lamb on 101.
