MAGISTRATES have ordered a thief who stole a woman’s iPhone to stay in at night under a curfew.
Aaron Strachan stole the iPhone 4 from a woman in Guildhall Square, Portsmouth.
The 22-year-old denied the offence but he was found guilty of theft after a trial at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.
The magistrates ordered Strachan to stay in his flat in Arundel Street, Landport, Portsmouth, between 8pm and 6am, every day for the next four months.
He was told to pay £300 in compensation to his victim and £600 in court costs.
