MAGISTRATES have jailed a man who broke into a community centre.

Anthony Storr stole £84 from the Southsea Community Centre in King Street earlier this month.

On a separate occasion he stole beer from a Budgens Stores in St James’s Road, Southsea.

Storr, 23, of Manor Park Avenue, Copnor, pleaded guilty to burgary and theft when he appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.

The court heard he has a number of previous convictions for theft. He was jailed for 18 weeks.
