A WOMAN has been jailed for six months after admitting seven thefts and assaulting a man.

Trudy Valentine, 32, of Deerhurst Crescent, Paulsgrove, committed the thefts, stealing goods worth more than £550, in October and November last year.

Portsmouth magistrates sent her to prison as she has a record of offending and breaching court orders.

Items stolen included meat, wine and champagne from stores including Wicor Post Office in Fareham and Co-op in White Dirt Lane, Waterlooville.
