A THIEF who stole groceries from supermarkets has been jailed for 30 days.

Wayne Kirkbride targeted three stores in two weeks, Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court heard.

The 31-year-old, of Milton Road, Milton, admitted stealing £35 worth of food from the Co-op in Catherington Lane, Waterlooville on May 9. The next day he helped himself to £52 in goods from the Co-op in Milton Road, Cowplain.

He was later caught after stealing £48 worth of food from Tesco in Havant Road, Farlington on May 22.
