Thief takes £10,000 jewellery from home

A BURGLAR stole jewellery worth around £10,000 from a home in Bedhampton.

The thief broke into the home on Park Lane through the back door.

Many items of high value were taken including a gold Longines wind-up watch with gold safety chain worth £2,500, a platinum and diamond eternity ring worth £2,000 and a platinum flower engraved wedding band worth £500.

A Citizen superchrome divers watch, Baume and Mercier gold watch and three gold tie pins were also taken.

As was a matching white gold and diamond earring and necklace set, a diamond and gold pendant, four gold belcher chains, a gold chain with a pink teardrop pendant and five rings.

The incident happened between 9.45am and 4.30pm on Thursday, April 26.

A man was seen acting suspiciously outside of the property.

He is white, in his late 20s to mid 30s, approximately 6ft tall, of average build, short sandy coloured hair, clean shaven and a long face.

He was wearing light-coloured clothing.
