THREE pensioners were targeted by a thief who snatched their purses.

All of the women victims were targeted at charity shops in West Street, Fareham, on Monday.

Police said the women, 78, 71 and 68, had their purses stolen between 11am and 12.15pm.

No-one has been arrested following the incidents.

PCSO Hollie Cartwright said: ‘These kind of thefts are predominantly opportunistic, whereby offenders will target those who have purses on display or bags that have been left open. Therefore we kindly remind everybody the key crime prevention advice when handling money whilst in public place.’

A Hampshire police spokesman added: ‘Enquiries ongoing for all.’
