A SHOPLIFTER caught stealing while subject to a suspended sentence has been sent to jail.
Michael Johnson, 29, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to stealing £99.07 of goods from a Co-op in Portsmouth.
He also admitted a charge of stealing six bottle of beer from a Nisa store in Fratton Road, Fratton, Portsmouth.
Johnson pleaded guilty to committing the crimes while subject to a 28-day suspended sentence for another offence of theft.
The 29-year-old was sentenced to 49 days in prison by Portsmouth magistrates.
