THIEF Luke Stapley has been given a suspended jail term after admitting stealing goods on three occasions.

Stapley, 30, of Durley Road, Gosport stole air freshener and detergent from Tesco worth £110, deodorant and detergent worth £105 from Morrisons and laundry gel worth £56.25 from the Co-op. Portsmouth magistrates imposed a 12-week prison sentence suspended for a year and a curfew.

Stapley also admitted interfering with a car with intent to steal. He must pay £300 in compensation, an £80 victim surcharge and £20 costs.
