THUGS attacked a man as he walked home in Stubbington.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the unprovoked assault.

Sometime between 1.30am and 2.15am on Saturday, May 23, a 20-year-old was walking home along Gosport Road when he was attacked by two men who repeatedly punched and kicked him in his face and ribs.

He was taken to QA hospital where he received treatment for severe bruising to ribs and some minor facial injuries.

The suspects both wore dark-coloured hoodies. One of the attackers was taller then the other.

One of the suspects may have an injury to his face where he was hit by the victim.

Police say a number of vehicles passed by during the incident.
