POWER tools and copper worth £500 were stolen in a break-in.

Police are appealing for witnesses after thieves struck at the home in Timpson Road, Landport, Portsmouth.

A white man, aged in his 20s and wearing a baseball cap and tracksuit was seen leaving the side of the home at about 12.30am on December 11 when the burglary took place.

PC Anthony Langton said: ‘I would like to speak to anyone who might have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area of Timpson Road during the early hours of Sunday, December 11.

‘I would also like to speak to anyone who may have been offered any electrical tools for sale that may be related to this incident.’
