Trio of thugs steal teen's electric bike after pushing him off it in Waterlooville

POLICE are searching for a group of robbers who pushed a teenage boy off his electric bike in Waterlooville '“ before stealing it.

The 17-year-old victim had just turned into Hazleton Way from Greenfield Crescent at about 12.20am on Monday when he was approached by three men. 

Two of the thugs were on pushbikes and cycled alongside him and blocked his path '“ before pushing him off his bike and running away with it.

Police said the suspects ran off with the '˜highly distinctive' Myatu electric bike, which has an 18.5inch frame, in the direction of Padnell Road.

The bike is described as being black with orange stripes and 26in DX 3,000 wheels. 

Police have also released details of the suspects, who it is believed are all between 16 and 19-years-old. 

The first is described as being white, 6ft 2in tall of a skinny build and wearing a dark-coloured gilet. He was riding a black, 18in Carrera mountain bike.

The second is described as a white male, around 5ft 7in to 5ft 8in tall, of a medium build and wearing a dark-coloured Nike hoodie and tracksuit bottoms. He was riding a grey, 21in Carrera mountain bike.

The third suspect is described as white, around 5ft 10in tall of a medium build.

The victim did not sustain any injuries as a result of the incident.

In a statement, a police spokesperson said: '˜Have you been offered this bike in suspicious circumstances? Do you recognise the description of these men?
