Truck driver punched in the face by attacker

A TRUCK driver was punched in the face in Portsmouth.

The 45-year-old had stopped at traffic lights by the pedestrian crossing in Northern Road, Cosham, at about 12.15pm, when the driver of the car behind got out of his vehicle and approached the orange truck.

The man went to punch the truck driver, but he was able to move out of the way.

The passenger of the car then got out and punched the truck driver in the jaw, before both men got back into the car and drove off.

The victim did not need medical treatment.

The car was a small, light blue hatchback.

The driver was white, 5ft 8ins tall and missing his front teeth. The passenger was white, with grey hair and wearing a blue tracksuit top.
