The taxis were damaged along Hanway Road, Grafton Street, Sultan Road and Church Road.

In most of the cases, windows have been smashed with the vehicles searched yet nothing of value appears to have been stolen.

A Hampshire Police spokesman said: ‘We’d like to hear from anyone who witnessed any of the incidents or any suspicious behaviour in the area. Please call 101 and quote 44170084717.’
