TWO people were arrested after a man was violently assaulted outside his home.

The victim, aged in his 40s, was left with a serious head injury after being attacked in Shamrock Close, Bosham, on Good Friday.

Police and emergency services were called to the victim’s house at around 8.45pm to find him badly injured.

He was taken by ambulance to St Richard’s Hospital in Chichester for treatment and has since been discharged.

Two men aged 36 and 47, both from Bosham, were arrested nearby on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and have been bailed until May 4 pending further inquiries.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said: ‘We are still investigating the exact circumstances that led up to this nasty attack and are appealing for anyone with information to please call 101 quoting serial 1585 of 6/4.’
