Two men injured after 'group of 14' yobs attack them on Portsdown Hill as their partners watched on

A GANG of ‘fourteen people’ launched an attack on two men in a brawl at a popular beauty spot last night, police have said.

The assault took place on Portsdown Hill shortly before 9.30pm. The victims had been at the site with their partners when they were beaten.

A video of the incident, shared on social media, appeared to show one of the men being kicked to the floor, before the group fled the scene.

Both men were left with ‘ABH-level injuries’, said police – although details of what sort of wounds the men received have not been released by the authorities.

Hampshire police said officers were now investigating the incident and are appealing for help in tracing the attackers.

A spokeswoman said: ‘We were called at 9.28pm yesterday to reports of a group of fourteen people fighting on Portsdown Hill, Portsmouth.

‘On arrival officers spoke with two men who had been assaulted by the group, witnessed by their partners. They received ABH-level injuries.’

The official added: ‘We have been made aware that a video is circulating, however this has not yet been seen by officers.’

Nobody has been arrested by police yet.
