TWO robbers punched a man and stole two bags of shopping before walking off laughing.

The 57-year-old victim, from Southsea, was sitting on a park bench in Holbrook Road when the men approached him. They then punched him and stole his shopping, from nearby Asda at The Bridge Centre in Fratton.

The attack happened between 9am and 9.15am on Tuesday.

Detective Constable James Garrett said: ‘The two suspects are alleged to have walked off laughing along Somers Road towards Winston Churchill Avenue.’ Call police on 101.
