TWO people were taken to hospital and then arrested after a stabbing at a Chichester home.

Police have only just revealed that two people were stabbed on August 12.

“Shortly after 3am on Wednesday (August 12) police were called to an address in Bradshaw Road, Chichester, where a 22-year-old man had received a stab wound to a leg and a 45-year-old woman, both from Chichester, had sustained cuts to an arm,” said a Sussex Police spokesman.

“They were treated at St Richard’s Hospital and discharged a short while later.”

He said they were then both arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and after being interviewed were released on police bail while enquiries continued. The man was bailed to September 28 and the woman was bailed to September 29.

The matter only came to light after a neighbour contacted our sister paper the Chichester Observer, which in turn contacted Sussex Police.
