Colin Rones, 51, was last seen at his home in Bransbury Road, Eastney, at about 1pm yesterday.
Police now say that they have found a body in Eastney.
A Hampshire police spokeswoman said: ‘The family of 51-year-old Mr Rones have been informed. Formal identification has yet to be completed.
‘At this stage the death is not being treated as suspicious.’
