UPDATE: Pedestrian suffers '˜serious injuries' after collision with car in Waterlooville

A pedestrian has suffered '˜serious injuries' after a collision with a car in Waterlooville this afternoon.

Part of Hulbert Road has been closed to traffic on the eastbound carriageway while police make enquiries about the incident, which happened just before 2.15pm.

A police spokesman said they received reports of a collision on the road, near to the junction with Curzon Road, involving a Fiat and a pedestrian.

He added that the pedestrian had suffered serious injuries.

Traffic is now building in the town centre due to the road closure.
