Upset as ex-detective makes toddler claims

Natasha Lee, 41, of Gosport told of her anger and turmoil after an ex-detective said her sister Katrice Lee could have been killed by Robert Black.

Katrice was two when she disappeared from a Naafi in Paderborn, Germany, on November 27, 1981.

Black was serving 12 life terms for raping and murdering four young girl when he died earlier this year aged 68.

Now Chris Clark, a former detective, has alleged travel receipts held by Devon and Cornwall police could reveal whether he was in Paderborn.

Speaking to The News, Natasha said: ‘I’m in a bit of turmoil at the moment and very angry. My understanding is that Black was investigated by the Royal Military Police and he was not in Germany or in Paderborn at the time.

‘However, why is this info only coming forward now?

‘Why is it that the police force has not shared this information with the RMP?

‘I have to say this is not the RMP’s error.

‘I am concerned the other police force have not shared this information if it is true.’

Last month the RMP re-investigation into Katrice’s disappearance was criticised by Natasha and her father, Richie Lee, who was in the Army and based in Paderborn in 1981.

A Ministry of Defence told The Mirror: ‘The Royal Military Police are following a number of lines of inquiry and it would be inappropriate to comment further while these efforts continue.’

Mr Clark, who is writing a book on Black’s crimes, said: ‘There’s a possibility she was snatched by Black.’

The News contacted Devon and Cornwall police but received no reply.
