BURGLARS stole expensive camera equipment in a break-in.

Thieves forced their way into a home in Stansted Road, Southsea, via the front door.

They fled with a Canon SLR digital camera, four Canon camera lenses and a Canon camera battery.

The thieves also stole a large black and beige camera bag and a digital camera memory card between 2.30pm and 3.50pm on September 8.

PC Stephen Bourne said: ‘The camera equipment that was stolen is expensive, and it is likely that those responsible for this burglary has tried, or will try, to sell it on. I would appeal to anyone who has been offered this equipment for sale, or anyone who knows of any person who has recently acquired this equipment, to come forward and speak to us.

‘The incident took place in broad daylight just off the busy Fawcett Road in Southsea. Did anyone see anything suspicious in the area? Did anyone see someone carrying a laptop and a camera bag?’ Call PC Bourne at Fratton station on 101,
