A VAN driver was attacked by a man in Fareham.

Police say that between 12:40pm and 12:50pm the 58-year-old victim was driving in Serpentine Road when at the junction with Uplands Crescent his vehicle was struck from behind by an unknown object.

When he got out to inspect the damage he was assaulted:

The attacker was white, slim and in his mid-20s. He was wearing a navy hooded top with the hood over his face, grey tracksuit trousers and white trainers.

He was riding a light blue mountain bike.

The victim said he was left with two small puncture wounds to his abdomen. He was subsequently taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital for a check-up.
