POLICE have thanked three women who were stabbed in Portsmouth last year, after their attacker was found guilty of attempted murder.
Ben Moynihan, 18, of The Ridings, Hilsea, was found guilty of attempted murder by jury at Winchester Crown Court after a six-day trial.
The case has been adjourned for a pre-sentence report.

Senior investigating officer Det Insp Liam Davies said: ‘We would like to thank the three women who were attacked for their courage and assistance in the conviction of Ben Moynihan.
‘The violence inflicted on them was particularly distressing as it was completely unexpected; in two cases in broad daylight as they were going about everyday activities.
‘It has taken them some time to deal with what happened and move on with their lives. We hope that today’s court result helps this process.
‘I would also like to extend our thanks to the residents of Cosham and Hilsea for coming forward with vital information and assisting us with our enquiries throughout the investigation.’
