POLICE were tonight searching for a man who went missing after leaving his home in Cosham.

A helicopter scanned parts of Southsea and Eastney as well as Anglesea Road, Landport, for the 29-year-old, who lives in Highbury Grove. The search began at 10pm and was called off 20 minutes later.

He has not yet been found and has not been named by police.

His mother raised the alarm at about 8.30am yesterday morning after he failed to come home the night before. Officers are eager to know the whereabouts of the man as he is considered ‘vulnerable’.

A Hampshire Constabulary spokesman said: ‘A man who is considered vulnerable has gone missing. Anyone with information should call 101.’
