Warning after an intruder is discovered in Bishop's Waltham home

A WARNING has been issued for people in Bishop's Waltham to stay vigilant after an intruder was found in a house in the early hours of the morning.

The man was found in a house in Bank Street at about 2am on Wednesday last week by the occupier, who had been asleep.

PCSO Sarah McCulloch, from Bishop’s Waltham Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: ‘Bishop’s Waltham is generally a safe place with low crime levels, however this highlights the need to keep alert at all times and possibly review the security of your premises.

‘If you notice anything strange, suspicious or worrying, please report it to your local police. To keep this a safe community we need the public to be our eyes and ears.’

She urged anybody with information, or who saw or heard anything that could help with their enquiries, to call police on 101 quoting the crime reference number 44160105982.

She added: ‘Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers, anonymously and free, on 0800 555 111.’
