POLICE are warning drivers to be more wary after a spate of break-ins at rural car parks.

Officers are reminding the public not to leave valuables in vehicles after several thefts.

Two cars were broken into at Woodend car park, Heath Road, Soberton and a handbag was taken on Tuesday.

A car was also raided in North Lane, Clanfield, and a handbag stolen.

Sergeant Phil Shore, from the priority crime team, said: ‘Often at these beauty spot car parks thieves are watching what you do. We’d ask that anyone seen acting suspiciously is reported to us –tell us what cars they are in. We can then investigate.’
