PEOPLE are being urged to check they have locked their cars after a series of break-ins.

In Gosport, 24 unlocked vehicles have been targeted in the past six weeks.

Thieves are breaking into the cars while it is dark and a number of valuables have been stolen.

The main areas being targeted include the Christchurch ward and roads surrounding Ann’s Hill Road.

Police officers are reminding people to lock their cars and remove any items.
