Officers think burglars were in the area monitoring people’s movements and struck when the residents left.

Then between September 1 and 14 two non-homes were targeted in Havant Road and Islance Close.

A pedal cycle and tools were stolen from a shed and garage.

Three non-dwelling burglaries were carried out, with bikes stolen from garages and sheds in Fathoms Reach and Sea Front.

Those crimes are not thought to be linked, police have said.

‘Be vigilant for suspicious activity in your area and report it to police on either 101 or 999 depending on if it is an emergency.
