A WARRANT has been issued for the arrest of a sex offender.

Stephen McArthur was given a sexual offences prevention order after he was convicted at Portsmouth Crown Court of sexual offences involving children.

The order banned him from having children in his home or going to a house where there were children without the legal guardian knowing about his past.

But the 43-year-old is accused breaching the order. McArthur, of Fourth Street, Portsmouth, was due to appear in Portsmouth Crown Court yesterday but he did not turn up.
