The Drayton resident, who did not want to be named, was forced to slow down while travelling along Old Manor Way as the police cars and the car being chased sped past.

The dash cam footage later shows the trio of cars driving across the crossroads into Lonsdale Avenue, before coming to a stop in Knowsley Crescent.

Broken glass can also be seen at the entrance to Lonsdale Avenue, although it is not clear how it came to be on the road.

The footage was recorded at about 9.45am yesterday as the driver made his way towards the centre of Cosham.

A Hampshire Constabulary spokeswoman confirmed the chase took place.

She added that two males, aged 20 and 17, had been arrested on suspicion of theft of a motorvehicle, driving a motorvehicle dangerously, and failing to stop when ordered to by police.

Both have been bailed until April 13.
