WATCH: Grandmother tells of terrifying moment shot rang out as man suffered serious head injuries
A shocked grandmother today told of hearing the horrifying moment a man was shot in the head in Crookhorn early today.
Marilyn Trimmer, 65. who lives near to the scene of the incident in Athena Avenue, Crookhorn, said: ‘At about 12.45am I was in the bedroom at the back and I heard a complete bang, really loud. It shook my dog up and made him bark.
‘I was very nervous. I’ve got my grandaughter staying over and it frightened her as well. It was really a loud bang.
‘It sounded like a shotgun going off and it was quite near.’
Police say two people were arrested after the shooting and that the victim is in hospital with a serious head wound.
