A WOMAN who stole more than £4,000 from shops in an 18-month period has been ordered to repay just £1,000.

Ashleigh Lawson-Barnes, of Jasmine Grove, Waterlooville, admitted stealing £4,128.99 from a Tesco store in Waterlooville and elsewhere between March last year and September.

The 22-year-old was given a three-month curfew and ordered to pay £1,000 compensation by Portsmouth magistrates.
