Wedding ban woman fined for breaching restraining order

A WOMAN who was banned by magistrates from going anywhere near her ex-husband's wedding has been fined for breaching a restraining order.

Carol Beamer, 58, was barred from John Beamer’s wedding last year at Holy Trinity Church, in Gosport.

Portsmouth magistrates last year varied a restraining order against her that she had been given for a harassment conviction.

Now Mrs Beamer, of Village Road, Alverstoke, has been found guilty of breaching the restraining order last August – before it changed.

She requested a message to be passed to Mr Beamer on August 7 last year.

Magistrates fined her £300 with a £30 victim surcharge and £620 prosecution costs.

The new restraining order bans her from contacting him for a year. The case was heard on February 17.

She was previously convicted in January 2016 of harassment between June 24 in 2015 and August 18 the same year.
