A WEST Leigh man who went missing on Wednesday after leaving work has been found.

James Searson, 25, who has special needs, has been located in Manchester safe and sound today.

As previously reported by The News, James was last seen walking to Fratton train station, after leaving work at the Searson Family Funeral Service in Southsea.

He left the funeral service at noon - but was meant to stay on all day.

A plea for help was put out on the internet and posters were put up across Portsmouth.

A plea was made to help find James at Saturday’s Pompey against Plymouth football match in Fratton Park.

Elizabeth Coulson, a member of James’ family, put on Facebook: ‘I can confirm that James Searson has been found in Manchester - safe.

‘We have no more information at the moment, his dad is on his way to him now.

‘All the family would like to thank everyone for the overwhelming support we have received.’
