POLICE handed out 33 fines of £60 during a day-long blitz on driving while using a mobile phone and driving without a seatbelt.

Officers carried out the operation in St Paul’s Road, Little Breach and Old Broyle Road in Chichester yesterday.

Speeding drivers were also caught.

Sergeant Chris White, from the neighbourhood policing team, said: ‘This day will form part of an ongoing operation where we will continue to work with local neighbourhoods.’
