MAGISTRATES have set a trial date for an elderly couple accused of harassing their neighbour.

Annunziata and Peter Crook, aged 76 and 77 respectively, of Millars Court, Pagham, Bognor were arrested last month by officers from Bognor’s Neighbourhood Policing Team.

The retired couple appeared at Chichester Magistrates’ Court yesterday charged with harassment following an ongoing neighbour dispute.

It followed a complaint by neighbours who claim to have had rubbish
thrown over their garden fences for three years.

Mrs Crook was also arrested and subsequently charged with criminal damage following allegations of repeated damage to plants and bushes.

The couple denied all the charges against them and were bailed.

The trial will take place at Worthing Magistrates Court, starting on Monday, March 4.
