AN ELDERLY woman caught drink-driving has been told to do unpaid work.

Lillian Eckersley pleaded guilty to driving a Nissan Micra while more than four times the legal alcohol limit in Gull Coppice, Whiteley on January 4.

Eckersley, of Bleriot Crescent, Whiteley, was told to do 200 hours of unpaid work and pay £85 costs by Fareham magistrates.

The 70-year-old was also banned from driving for three years.
