n Kieron Lovelock, 19, of Braintree Road, Portsmouth, admitted drink-driving on February 14.

He was caught in Leominster Road, Paulsgrove, and banned for 24 months with a £500 fine.

A test showed he had 97 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, more than the 35mg legal limit.

Lovelock must pay a £50 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs.

n Darren May, 30, of Sandringham Road, Fratton, admitted stealing washing detergent worth £48.82 from Morrisons.

He was handed a 90-day prison term suspended for nine months as he has a previous history of like offending. He must pay an £80 victim surcharge.

May also admitted using threatening or abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour on February 12 in Portsmouth.

No separate penalty was imposed.

n Michael Morrey, 58, of The Paddock, Gosport, admitted using racially-aggravated words which were threatening or abusive.

Morrey committed the offence on October 24 in Portsmouth and was fined £300. He must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs.

n Emma Nicholas, 29, of Linden Lea, Portchester, admitted stealing cosmetics worth £175.82 from Boots in Portsmouth on November 13 last year.

She was jailed for 14 days as she has a history of like offences.

Nicholas also pleaded guilty to stealing toiletries and food worth £68.95 from McColl’s in Fareham on November 10 and was jailed for 14 days concurrent.

n Tony Ford, 28, of Flying Bull Lane, Buckland, admitted stealing groceries worth £8.75 from Co-op in Portsmouth on February 8.

He was given a six-month conditional discharge with a £15 victim surcharge to pay.

Ford must pay £15 prosecution costs.

n Luke Power, 36, of Western Road, Fareham, admitted assault by beating in Portsmouth on December 24 last year.

He was given a 12-month conditional discharge with £250 compensation to pay.

Power must also pay a £15 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs.

n John Ratcliffe, 35, of Sandringham Road, Fratton, admitted stealing a quad helicopter worth £160 from Maplin in Portsmouth on January 29.

Magistrates ordered him to pay £160 compensation.

n Mark Gent Ratcliffe, 48, of New Road, Swanmore, was found guilty of assault by beating on December 20 last year in Swanmore.

Magistrates imposed a community order with 60 hours unpaid work.

He must pay a £60 victim surcharge and £300 prosecution costs.
