AN INVESTIGATION has been launched after a man was knocked unconscious as he walked through a park.

The 28-year-old was walking through Jubilee Park, in Waterlooville, when he was approached by three men.

One of them punched him in the face, knocking him to the ground. His head was then stamped upon.

When he came round, he was helped to his feet by an unknown man. The victim left the park and encountered a woman who helped him to call police.

The attack happened between 1.30am and 1.55am on Sunday. The victim was treated for a suspected broken jaw.

Detectives need to speak to the two people who helped the victim, as well as a woman who was seen driving a black Vauxhall Corsa in the car park in Milton Road. The attackers were around 20 years old, slim and wore hooded tops. Call 101.
