POLICE have appealed for witnesses to a street brawl involving at least six people, which left one man with a serious injury.

The fight happened about 5pm on Saturday, June 28 in Soberton Road, Havant.

Detective Constable Pete Bambury said police arrived at the scene after somebody called them about the fight.

Four men were arrested, who police believed already knew each other.

Det Con Bambury said: ‘Our initial enquiries suggest this was an isolated incident affecting people known to each other.’

‘The investigation so far has led to the arrests of four men, aged between 19 and 35, on suspicion of several offences including violent disorder, wounding with intent, and being concerned in the supply of class A drug.’

The men have been released on bail while the investigation continues.

Police said one man received a serious, but not life-threatening injury and a Mercedes car parked nearby was damaged during the fight.
